There is an online petition to oust Metallica frontman James Hetfield from the Glastonbury Festival, not because of his music, but because the NRA member is a hunter.

“Remove Metallica from Glastonbury Festival for their support of Bear Hunting” has over 24,000 fans as of Thursday, with its creator saying: “Metallica’s lead singer James Hetfield is a big game hunter and promoter. This is incompatible with Glastonbury Festivals ideals.” The festival, which will feature bands like The Black Keys and Arcade Fire, will take place June 25-29.

The page was started in large part because of the singer’s participation in an upcoming History Channel documentary titled “The Hunt,” Field and Stream magazine reported Thursday. Mr. Hetfield will narrate the series, which premieres Sunday at 10 p.m.
