An armed robbery at an internet sweepstakes café is under investigation in Pitt County.

Greenville Police say it happened at the H&L Business Center on South Evans Street around 5 o’clock Tuesday morning.

A store employee told police two suspects dressed in all black and wearing masks came in armed with guns.

Police say one of the suspects jumped over the counter to get to the cash register, and as he did, an employee fired his own handgun twice at the suspect.

Both robbers then took off toward East 14th Street.

The store manager, Greg Richardson, tells 9 On Your Side eight customers were inside at the time, but no one was hurt.
