Beauty queen murdered with Fast & Furious rifle

by Jim Treacher, The Daily Caller  |  published on December 19, 2012

So now we’re supposed to have a national conversation about guns. That is, unless the conversation is about the guns the Obama administration has been handing out like party favors to Mexican drug cartels.

The Fast and Furious fiasco has taken yet another life, as Sharyl Attkisson at CBS News reports:

A gun found at the scene of a shootout between a Mexican drug cartel and soldiers where a beauty queen died was part of the botched “Fast and Furious” operation, CBS News reports.

Authorities had said that Maria Susana Flores Gamez was likely used as a human shield and that an automatic rifle had been found near her body after the Nov. 23 shootout.

Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, tells CBS News that the Justice Department did not notify Congress that a Fast and Furious firearm was found at the scene in Sinaloa.

If the NRA is responsible for a kid stealing his mother’s legally purchased rifle and using it to kill people, why isn’t the Obama administration responsible for illegally providing gangsters with the rifles they use to kill people?

And does this woman’s murder mean less because she was Mexican? Is that what our friends on the left are telling us? We’ll just have to presume so.
