Congressman has no idea what the Second Amendment is

by American Firearms Review  |  published on June 26, 2012

A lot of lawmakers misinterpret the Second Amendment. But during a candidates debate last week, Rep. Ruben Hinojosa (D-Texas) actually didn’t know what it was:

“There are so many people in Washington who come and talk to us about the Constitution and the rights that they want kept sacred and that not do anything about them. (sic) That we not change them. That we not amend them,” he said. “And I can tell you that — I’m drawing a blank on the Second Amendment, but I think it’s the weapons, isn’t it? The NRA?”

Goodness gracious. And we wonder why our freedoms are under attack.
