Police: Robber shot by store owner in York

Police are still searching for one suspect in an armed robbery in York.

Police say two robbers entered the La Familia Store in the 300 block of Prospect Street Saturday around 6:30 p.m. The robbers, one man and one woman, demanded money from the owner and displayed a handgun, according to police.

Police say during the robbery, the store owner fired several shots at the suspects who then ran away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers located the female suspect a short time later, suffering from a gunshot wound. She was taken to York Hospital. The male robber is still at large.
