Second Amendment rights group aims for five-million-name petition

HOOG
A gun-rights coalition has launched a petition drive to protect the Second Amendment.

Hands Off Our Guns spokesman Don Smith fears President Barack Obama’s threat to sign executive orders could circumvent the law of the land.

“The politicians need to know there are millions of Americans that support Second Amendment rights,” Smith tells OneNewsNow.

The gun-rights group plans to collect five million signatures, then deliver the petition to members of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.

“Let our politicians know that we’re not going to accept any infringement on our Second Amendment rights,” declares Smith, who believes the petition gives people an opportunity to unite and be heard by public officials.
